Aubrey Peeples
Aubrey Peeples (born Aubrey Peeples) is an American singer-actress. The most notable recognition was given to her in her character Layla Grant in the drama series Nashville (2012) and Claudia Shepard in Sharknado (2013). She also was in the character of Jerrica Jem on the film Jem and the Holograms. Aubrey Peeples grew up in Lake Mary Florida by parents Wendy and Ashley. Her sister is named Ally. Aubrey was a part-time performer for ten years with Orlando Repertory Theatre. Aubrey graduated from Lake Mary Preparatory School and was awarded valedictory honors for this class in 2012 when she was a graduate. Harvard University was willing to accept her. But, she declined the opportunity twice. It was the second time that it was due to her desire to play in Nashville. Peeples was a guest on Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) as well as regular roles in Necessary Roughness (1991). She appeared on television in Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective 2009 as well as The Good Mother. She had a major part in the role of Layla Grant on the Nashville Drama in the second season. Peeples spoke about her bipolar disorder during an interview in 2019 with NKD Magazine. Indiewire listed Peeples on September 14, 2014, as being one of the top American young actors.
